Suffolk police officers responded to an injured animal call in the 400 block of Webb St. this morning, to find a dog who had been set on fire. The pit bullâs owner said that his own brother poured gasoline on the dog and set him ablaze, after an argument.
The dog suffered burns to his face, neck and chest, but is expected to recover.
Tonight, police are searching for Lashawn M. Harper, 28, who will be charged with animal cruelty and malicious wounding of an animal.
