Serial robbery suspects arrested in Virginia Beach

On Monday, Virginia Beach police responded to a Crime Solvers tip on the location of a suspect in a recent string of robberies, which led them to a motel on Bonney Road. The SWAT team executed a warrant on one of the rooms and took four suspects into custody.

Those arrested were:

-Matthew Turner, 2, charged with 13 felony counts of robbery

-Olivia Weir, 23, charged with eight felony counts of robbery

-Mytisha Warmack, 22, charged with three felony counts of robbery

-Kyle Smith, 20, charged with seven felony counts of robbery

The suspects are accused of committing three robberies to individuals, as well as holding-up two Albano Cleaners and Pappa Joe’s Smoke Shack between January 5-20.

According to police, one of the accused was recognized when surveillance footage of the robbery at Pappa Joe’s Smoke Shack was aired on a local newscast.

Virginia Beach has been hit with a rash of robberies of late, with more than 35 occurring in the city since New Years Day.
