Police looking for man who sexually assaulted a child at Williamsburg-area resort

Sgt. Dennis Ivey Jr., of the York County Sheriff's Office said an 8-year-old girl staying at the Great Wolf Lodge water park resort in York County, VA was approached by a man who “touched her inappropriately.” The assault occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

At the time of the assault, the girl was on the fourth floor of the hotel playing a game, while her parents were downstairs checking in.

It is not known whether the man was a guest at the resort, an employee, or simply walked in off the street.

The girl described the attacker as a dark skinned white male, with curly, dark hair. He was wearing a red short sleeve T-shirt and black pants that with a stripe along the sides.
