Newport News detectives have arrested Dennis Lamell Brown, 44, and charged him with five counts of robbery.
He was wanted for a string of robberies at five different stores along Warwick Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue, between July 16 and July 24.
According to police, he was armed with a kitchen knife every time.
Brown is currently being held in the Newport News City Jail.
