Was autistic teen assaulted by TSA worker?

An assault is defined as “an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.”

Amy Gilmore, the mother of a local autistic teenager is angry after her son received a full body search by TSA agents that she says, went too far.

Last week, 19-year-old Drew, along with his family were headed to Disneyworld on a Make-A-Wish trip, he set off an alarm in the security screening area at Newport News -Williamsburg International Airport.

The titanium rods implanted in his spine set off the alarm.

Though Gilmore tried to explain her son’s medical condition and even presented the TSA agents with a card which explained the position of the rods, the workers still subjected the disabled teen to an invasive body search.

Gilmore told WVEC 13NEWS: “We had to hold his arms out. He went down with the back of his hands through his bottom around to the front and up through his groin area.”

*Reporter’s note: It is difficult for anyone to understand the need for or even the legality of such offensive contact, let alone for someone with autism.

Imagine this disabled young man’s fear as he was being groped by a stranger with his parents looking on.

How much longer will the flying public tolerate government-sanctioned assaults on their children?

Woman arrested for throwing 2-year-old granddaughter to her death at Virginia mall

According to police, on Monday evening, 2-year-old Angelyn Ogdoc, was thrown from a walkway which links the parking garage to the Tysons Corner Center Mall, in McLean, Virginia. The girl fell six stories to the ground.

The toddler was rushed to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Fairfax County police spokeswoman Tawny Wright said the toddler was leaving the mall with her family when the girl’s grandmother, Carmela Dela Rosa, 50, picked up the girl and threw her to the pavement, some 60 feet below.

Man arrested for stealing funds raised for slain officer's widow

A man who claims to be a friend of recently murdered Norfolk police officer Victor Decker, has been arrested and charged with stealing $1,300 raised for the officer’s widow and baby daughter.

Charalampos Dimitrios Tsakpinis, 23, has been charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and the money has reportedly been recovered.

According to Norfolk police spokesman Officer Chris Amos, a fundraising event was held earlier this month at The Stone House Lounge, on N. Military Hwy., to help Dawn, Officer Decker’s widow, and their baby. Tsakpinis was supposed to deliver the money raised to the family, but instead, simply kept the cash for himself.

Officer Amos told the Virginian-Pilot: “He claimed to be good friends with the family, and so they gave him the money to give to Dawn.”

Officer Decker was murdered in Virginia Beach on October 26th. His body was found outside of his truck on Oceana Blvd. No arrests have been made at this time.

Interestingly, Tsakpinis also claims to have been the last person to see Decker alive.

He spent some time with the Norfolk officer at Atlantis, a go-go bar in Virginia Beach, shortly before he was killed.

A few days after the murder, Tsakpinis, who goes by the moniker “Bobby the Greek,” told the Virginian-Pilot: “He shook my hand after he paid the tab and he said, 'I had a great time tonight. Thanks for bringing me out. I don't get to do this very often.' “

Around 2 a.m., Tsakpinis allegedly offered Decker a ride back to his truck, but Decker declined. Tsakpinis claims that he sent a text to Decker about a half an hour later, but never heard back from him.

Tsakpinis said: “The next day, I learned that he’s dead. I was literally the last person to see him alive.”

Tsakpinis is free on bond and is set to appear in Norfolk General District Court on Monday.

Japan's war crimes were equal to those of the Nazis, but remain largely unknown (w/disturbing video)

Begrudgingly, the U.S. Justice Department recently released a report showing that Nazi war criminals “were indeed knowingly granted entry” into the United States and given “safe haven” with the agency actually hiding the location of Nazis known to have committed atrocities.

While war the crimes committed by Nazi Germany have been well documented and many of those responsible were punished, that is certainly not the case for Imperial Japan.

The crimes committed by the Japanese during World War II are vast and every bit as horrifying as those perpetrated by the Third Reich. However, comparatively little has been said about the atrocities committed by the Japanese Imperial Army and very few were punished for those crimes.

In 1942, The Japanese Army captured nearly 70,000 U.S. and Filipino soldiers at Corregidor. On April 9, the soldiers were sent on the infamous Bataan Death March. They were marched over 50 miles in 100 degree heat, with no food or water. If a man was unable to continue--he was killed by Japanese troops. They would either tie the exhausted man to a tree and use him for bayonet practice, shoot him, or behead him. Along the way, many Filipino civilians threw food to the POWs and were killed for their kindness. Enraged by the acts of compassion, the savage Japanese soldiers killed many civilians, including babies.

When the American and Filipino POWs finally arrived at Camp O'Donnell, close to 16,000 had died along the way. During their internment, another 20,000 died from starvation and disease. The Japanese offered no medical treatment and less than a cup of rice a day to the prisoners. Many were later sent to Japan and their occupied territories to work as slave laborers. While 12,000 Americans were originally taken prisoner in the Bataan atrocities, only 4,000 survived the war.

However, the crimes committed by Japanese Imperial Army began long before the United States Pacific Fleet was attacked at Pearl Harbor.

In late 1937, the Japanese invaded Nanking, China. The Imperial Japanese killed 300,000 Chinese and raped 100,000 women. There were mass killings, in which tens of thousands of Chinese were lined-up and used for machine-gun practice. All private homes and businesses were sacked. Chinese fathers were forced to rape their daughters and sons forced to rape their mothers--all for the amusement of the Japanese soldiers. There were even several accounts of Japanese soldiers committing cannibalism.

A crime which was formally sanctioned by the Japanese Imperial Army was that of sex-slavery. The United Nations estimates that 200,000 women were forced into this practice by the Japanese. The number is actually much higher, as the U.N. figures excluded Chinese women. Many of us have heard of the so-called 'Korean Comfort Girls.' These women were kidnapped and forced to fulfill the animalistic needs of the Japanese soldiers. However, in Shanghai alone the Japanese built 90 brothels in which close to 500 Chinese women were enslaved.

A little known fact is that the Japanese also used so-called weapons of mass destruction. They used chemical weapons on the Chinese in the late 1930's. In their 1937 campaign to seize Wuhan, they perpetrated no less than 375 separate chemical attacks. Japan produced over 5 million poison gas shells from1931-1945. China is still dealing with the cleanup of Japanese chemical weapons. It is estimated that there are between 700,000 and 2,000,000 shells still buried in the Chinese countryside, left behind by Japanese troops.

In 2003, a man looking for scrap metal in Northeastern China uncovered 5 barrels of mustard gas, left by the Japanese. More than 40 people were injured in the accident and one man was killed.

In 1935, the Japanese Imperial Army also established a covert biological and chemical warfare experimentation unit in the Chinese province of Harbin, known as Unit 731 which conducted torturous and deadly human experiments. Some prisoners were burned alive with flame throwers, while other were subjected to vivisection.

According to the 2002 International Symposium on the Crimes of Bacteriological Warfare, the group commanded by Shiro Ishi, was responsible for the deaths of approximately 580,000 civilians and military personnel. 95 percent of those who died in the Harbin camp were Chinese and Koreans, The other five percent of victims were South East Asians and Pacific Islanders.

Many of the scientists responsible for carrying out the human experiments went on to very successful careers in business, politics and medicine while several became prominent professors in Japanese universities. Of course, all but a handful escaped punishment for their crimes, as some of them were arrested by the Soviet army and tried at the Khabarovsk War Crimes Trials.

On 6 May 1947, Supreme Commander of Allied Forces, Gen. Douglas MacArthur, informed the White House and Pentagon that “additional data, possibly some statements from Ishii probably can be obtained by informing Japanese involved that information will be retained in intelligence channels and will not be employed as 'War Crimes' evidence.”

A deal between the U.S. and the head of Unit 731 was reached in 1948.

While the terror dealt by the hands of the Nazis has been well documented, the atrocities committed by the Japanese seem to have been somehow forgotten. Just consider the fact that one percent of American POWs in Nazi camps died, while the mortality rate among American POWs in Japanese camps was 37 percent.

The Japanese Imperial Army regularly engaged in be-headings, rape, and torture. Japan refused to ratify the Geneva Conventions and during World War II, showed a true disdain for human life.

Unfortunately, as we continue to lose our World War II veterans, we also lose those who witnessed the evil first-hand.

Those who care about the truth as well as for the lives of those fading veterans, are charged with the responsibility of demanding that the truth be told. The fact is, Japan is responsible for the most atrocious war crimes of the 20th century.

Video report: TSA agent charged with raping 14-year-old girl

Transportation Security Administration agent Sean Shanahan, 45, of Winthrop, Massachusetts has been arrested and charged with statutory rape, enticement of a child and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older.

Winthrop Police began their investigation when the girl’s father saw sexually explicit text messages on his daughter’s cell phone, allegedly sent by Shanahan.

Shanahan works as a TSA agent at Logan International Airport in Boston. He is being held on $50,000 cash bail.

Travelers who refuse naked body scans, "enhanced pat downs" will now be arrested, fined

The Transportation and Safety Administration (TSA) has issued a warning to any “would-be commercial airline passenger” who enters an airport checkpoint, but refuses to submit to “the method of inspection designated by the TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.”

The TSA is now coordinating with local police departments to detain anyone who simply tries to exit the airport. The Palm Beach Post has reported: “Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.”

Teri Barbera, a spokeswoman for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s office, stated: “We will handle each incident on a case-by-case basis. The deputies will do it at the airport just as they would do it anywhere else.”

Sari Koshetz, a Florida regional TSA spokesperson said: “Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process.”

*Reporter’s note: So, Americans who are fed up or uncomfortable with naked body scans, being groped and fondled and seeing their children stripped in public will now be arrested if they choose to leave and remove themselves from the situation.

It should be noted that what TSA agents are doing to the flying public would be considered an assault anywhere in this country, and it could be argued that airports are now condoning false imprisonment…Both very serious crimes.

After the busy holiday season, I imagine we will see a veritable flood of lawsuits and criminal charges against TSA workers.

Amazon.com selling a book promoting child molestation

The online retailer Amazon.com is selling a book which defends the act of pedophilia and advises molesters on how to protect themselves from prosecution.

The electronic book, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct" was written by Philip R. Greaves II and is available for Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle e-reader.and can be purchased for $4.79.

The book’s description, written by the author, reads: “This is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certain rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter sentences should they ever be caught.”

One angry reviewer left the following comment: “As a mother of a child who has been molested, shame on Amazon for allowing such garbage to be sold on it's site. The author of this book is a predator and should never have been allowed to write or promote this trash that is called a book of information. How many children will be assaulted because of this. Amazon-take it off your site.”

Amid threats of boycotts, Amazon.com drops book promoting child molestation (another one remains)

After receiving thousands of complaints and threats of boycotts, online retailer Amazon.com has removed a book which defends the act of pedophilia and advises molesters on how to protect themselves from prosecution.

The electronic book, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct" was written by Philip R. Greaves II and is available for Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle e-reader.and can be purchased for $4.79.

I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter sentences should they ever be caught.”

The e-book was published on Oct. 28 using Amazon Digital Services. By late Wednesday, the book was actually ranked as the 65th most popular paid titles on the Kindle store.

Initially, Amazon was defiant in the face of mounting criticism, and on Wednesday, released the following statement: “Amazon.com believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable.”

However, by Thursday morning, the book was dropped from the site.

While Amazon removed this infamous title, another book which justifies child molestation remains for sale on the site. The paperback was originally published in 2000, and re-printed in 2009 is entitled: “Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers,” and is still for sale on Amazon.com.

The first paragraph of the book’s introduction reads: “This is a book about boys and men. It is also specifically about those boys and men, related or not, who share a very special love for one another. A love that may, along with providing companionship, protection, nurturing, and material needs, include an active consensual sexual component. A love that, since other equivalent terms have become hopelessly corrupted in modern usage, has come to be known as “boylove.”

“Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers” was written by David L. Reigel and sells on Amazon for $14.95.

Jury gives Stephen Hayes death penalty

Convicted murderer Stephen Hayes has just been sentenced to death by a Connecticut jury for the horrific home invasion that he and his accomplice Joshua Komisarjevsky committed a little more than three years ago.

On July 24, 2007, school nurse Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, was raped and strangled to death, her two daughters Haley, 17, and Michaela, 11, were also sexually assaulted and died of smoke inhalation as their assailants attempted to burn the crime scene to the ground. The lone survivor of the attack, William Petit was badly beaten and required a lengthy stay in the hospital. The ordeal lasted for more than six hours.

Joshua Komisarjevsky, 26 and Steven Hayes, 44 were arrested for the brutal crimes after hitting several police cars in their attempt to escape in the Petit’s car. Both were on parole and have extensive rap sheets, including more than 20 burglaries between them.

These two human predators met in 2006, while living in a drug treatment center in Hartford, Conn. The two also confessed to two other neighborhood break-ins the night before breaking into the Petit‘s home.

Though in 2002, a Bristol Superior Court Judge called Komisarjevsky “a cold calculating predator,” he was allowed to prowl the community once again. Presumably, he will now be dealt with harshly and never harm another family...Too bad for the Petit family that did not happen sooner.

Connecticut last carried out an execution in 2005.

ODU students fed up with crime, start a petition to allow concealed carry on campus

Amid a rash of violent crimes on and around campus, a group of students at Old Dominion University in Norfolk has begun a petition asking the school’s administration to change the on-campus gun ban, so that students and faculty alike can defend themselves without fear of expulsion or termination.

The ODU College Republicans are sponsoring the petition and have a page on Facebook entitled “Students for a Safer Campus,” asking for signatures. Club member Tyler Spires told WAVY-10: “If they have their concealed weapons permit to be able to carry their weapons on campus, they're already law abiding students, they have the right to carry it on campus.”

The university is located in the city and much of the campus borders on crime-ridden neighborhoods, long the domain of violent drug dealers. In fact, ODU students have been the target of many rapes, assaults and robberies for the last 30 years, when the school began its encroachment into the surrounding neighborhoods.

Break-ins are common in homes and apartments around the school, frequently rented by ODU students.

Contrary to school policy, the following examples show the merits of allowing students and staff to carry concealed weapons on campus:

-In 1997, Mississippi teenager Luke Woodham killed his mother and then drove to Pearl High School where he killed two students and wounded seven more. Assistant Principal Joel Myrick ran a quarter of a mile to his vehicle and returned with his .45 pistol. Myrick confronted the teenaged killer and detained him while waiting for police to arrive. Woodham was attempting to leave the high school and planned to drive to the local middle school and continue his killing. Myrick's actions undoubtedly saved the lives of many children that day.

- In 2002, a Nigerian student named Peter Odighizuwa shot and killed three people at the Appalachian School of Law in rural Virginia. His shooting spree was ended when fellow students Todd Ross and Ted Bessen went to their cars and retrieved their own guns. The pair returned and ordered Odighizuwa to drop his weapon and held him until police arrived.

-In February 2007, at a Salt Lake City mall, an armed off-duty police officer shot and killed a young Muslim named Sulejman Talovic. The officer (Ken Hammond), prevented a massacre as Talovic was found with a backpack full of ammunition, a shotgun, and a pistol. Before Officer Hammond ended the shooting spree, Talovic murdered five people.

Currently, Utah and Oregon are the only states in the union which allow teachers and staff to carry weapons in their schools. It is no coincidence that there has never been a school shooting spree unleashed in either of those states.

-In April 2007, a shooting spree at Virginia Tech carried out by Seung Hui Cho resulted in the loss of 32 innocent lives. Regardless of his motive or grim determination, had one or two students or teachers been armed--his murderous attack in Tech's Norris Hall could have been stopped.

In 2006, a Va. Tech student was disciplined for carrying a gun on campus, even though he possessed a concealed weapons permit. Va. Tech officials were quick to point out that their school was a "gun free zone." That assertion has not only proven to be naive but deadly as well.

In January 2006, House Bill 1572 was introduced in the Virginia General assembly. The legislation would have allowed students who possess a concealed weapons permit to carry their guns anywhere on campus. Most schools in Virginia have policies against students and faculty carrying guns on campus, Va. Tech is of course one of those schools. The bill failed to pass through the Committee on Militia, Police, and Public Safety.

Va. Tech Vice President Larry Hincker gave the following statement shortly after the aforementioned measure died in committee: "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students, faculty, and visitors feel safe on our campus."

I wonder if Mr. Hincker has the courage to sit down with every family who lost a son or daughter in the 2007 attack and explain that statement?

Florida State University professor and ACLU member Dr. Gary Kleck conducted a 1993 nationwide study, in which he concluded that U.S. citizens use guns to successfully defend themselves 500,000 times a year, outside of the home. A 1996 University of Chicago study found that states which passed concealed carry handgun laws experienced an 8.5 percent drop in murders, a 5 percent drop in rapes, and a 7 percent drop in aggravated assaults.

It is simply impossible for the police to defend us 24 hours a day. Nor can they somehow pre-empt crime. It is the responsibility of every citizen to defend himself. However, if governments create laws which make the possession of firearms illegal, the lawful citizen becomes nothing more than a target for the lawless.

Unfortunately, what anti-2nd Amendment activists deem a 'gun free zone,' is actually seen by violent criminals as a 'free fire zone.' Criminals are always encouraged by gun control laws.

Ford did not factor-in drug war when they moved factories to Mexico

In 2006, Ford Motor Corp. announced that it would close seven plants across the country by 2008. Ford plans to lay-off 34,000 workers by 2012.

Shortly after the devastating announcement was made, The Detroit Free Press discovered documents which detailed Ford's plans to invest $9.2 billion in Mexico, which includes a new 280,000 square foot assembly plant. Ford already produced a large portion of their vehicles in Mexico and with their plans to expand existing plants and using local suppliers, Ford is now well on their way to creating another 37,420 jobs in Mexico.

Ford is not only replacing all of their laid-off American workers with Mexicans, they are adding another 3,420 employees south of the border.

One of those factories re-located to Mexico was the century-old Norfolk Ford Truck Assembly Plant, where the F-150 was built by generations of Ford families.

However, while Ford certainly saw the potential for soaring profits by basically eliminating their payroll costs in Mexico where the daily minimum wage is about $4.50 a day, they did not count on their business plan becoming another casualty in Mexico’s raging drug war.

Sales of Ford’s Lobo pick-up truck are falling sharply with Mexican consumers because as it turns out, the truck is a favorite of cartel hitmen and drug runners. Drivers are now afraid to drive the truck out of fear for being mistaken by cartel gunmen as a rival.

Gabriel Lopez, the president of Ford in Mexico, recently said: “It's a vehicle that is in high demand for committing crimes. There's plenty of space in the pick-up's cabin for more weapons.”

Lopez continued: “The [sale] of big pick-ups for personal use has fallen because of insecurity. It is the only segment that has.”

Slumping sales of the F-Series pick-ups has pushed Ford’s market share in Mexico down to 10.7 percent from a high of 16 percent just a few years ago.

The well-armed gang members often steal pick-up trucks when they are preparing for attacks on rivals cartels or Mexican police forces.

As a direct result of the war between the cartels, Ford's overall sales in Mexico have fallen 7.1 percent from a year earlier.

In October, the U.S. State Department released a the results of a survey of 220 U.S. private companies which showed 15 percent of them have postponed investments or expansion plans in Mexico due to the violence now paralyzing that country.

Prosthetic leg found by police belonged to missing N.C. girl

Police have determined that a prosthetic leg found in western North Carolina belonged to Zahra Baker, 10, who is now believed to be dead. Her father and stepmother reported her missing on October 9.

According to Hickory Police Maj. Clyde Deal, the leg was discovered at a home where Zahra's stepmother once lived. A scanner was used to read the electronic serial number inside the leg, which was matched to the girl’s medical records.

Zahra lost her own leg during her bout with bone cancer.

Zahra's father reported her missing Oct. 9. Authorities believe she is dead.

Elisa Baker, 42, was arrested a few days after she told police that her stepdaughter had disappeared from her Hickory, North Carolina home in the middle of the night. She was charged with obstruction of justice, after admitting that she wrote the bogus ransom note found at the scene, as well as several other unrelated charges.

An Amber Alert was originally issued for Zahra, but the investigation soon shifted from a missing person’s case to that of a homicide.

Police continue to question the parents and look for Zahra’s remains.

Missing N.C. girl's stepmother: dad did something "kinda horrifying"

The owner of a crime memorabilia web business known as Serial Killers Ink, has gone public with letters he says were written by the stepmother of missing North Carolina girl, Zahra Baker. Eric Gein began corresponding with Elisa Baker shortly after she was arrested on unrelated charges.

What follows is an excerpt from one of those letters: “We really didn't kill her, but what he did after the fact is kinda horrifying,” wrote Elisa Baker.

On Wednesday, the Hickory Police Department announced that they have discovered a bone that may be the remains of the missing 10-year-old girl. The bone, which was discovered in a house in Caldwell County, where the Bakers lived until mid-September was sent to the Medical Examiner's office in Chapel Hill for examination.

A few days ago, police determined that a prosthetic leg found in western North Carolina belonged to Zahra.

According to Hickory Police Maj. Clyde Deal, the leg was discovered at a home where Zahra's stepmother once lived. A scanner was used to read the electronic serial number inside the leg, which was matched to the girl’s medical records.

What role did fraud play in the midterm elections?

It is certain that fraud plays a role in every election, but last week’s midterms may prove to be the most fraudulent yet, or at least, the election in which fraud has been the most widely reported.

More than likely, in most races, the results were not close enough for voter fraud to have actually decided an election. However, in a few, either the final vote total was so close, or the reports of abuse and outright fraud were so widespread that some of those returning to Congress in Januaryâ€"may be doing so thanks to erroneous measures.

The following is a list of reports of alleged fraud committed during the 2010 elections:

-The Lexington Herald-Reader reported that Kentucky election officials received more than 100 calls to a voter fraud hotline from 46 counties by early Tuesday afternoon. The calls included accounts of electioneering, general fraud, broken voting machines, possible political operatives disrupting the polls and more. Four counties even had allegations of vote buying.

-On Election Day, many Nevada voters were outraged to discover that even before they had cast their vote, the machines were showing the box already checked for Harry Reid. While election officials publicly acknowledged the issue, they simply dismissed it as 'operator error.’

-According to the Associated Press, Republican Party lawyers have filed a complaint alleging that voter logs in at least two Nevada counties showed the number of ballots cast as larger than the number of voters who actually signed the election registers.

-For weeks, there have been reports that the Reid campaign along with Democratic union bosses were illegally buying votes with food and Starbucks gift cards.

-The Angle campaign has now filed a complaint with the Justice Department citing reports that casino executives unduly pressured their union employees to vote for Reid.

-Evidence was uncovered that a get-out-the vote organization tried to have recorded, 23,000 phony voter registrations in Harris County, Texas, including one woman who registered six times in the same day, registrations from illegal aliens and 1,597 duplicate registrations but with different signatures.

-In North Carolina, a federal judge ordered notices be placed on voting machines after it was verified that voting machines were switching straight-ticket Republican votes to straight-ticket Democrat votes.

-In Pennsylvania, the Bucks County Democratic Party was erroneously warning voters by mail that they may not be allowed to vote unless they sent their absentee ballots into a Democratic Party post office box, instead of the county voter registration office.

-A report in the Greeley Gazette detailed how a Democratic volunteer in Colorado offered to pay postage on voters’ absentee ballots which is a violation of state law.

-There have been numerous reports of Democratic Party volunteers filling out ballots for unresponsive patients in nursing homes in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

-On Thursday, two days after the election, Republican Party officials in Connecticut were notified by their Democratic counterparts that a bag of uncounted ballots had just been “discovered” in Bridgeport.

The questionable votes could possibly make the difference in the state’s very tight, still undecided gubernatorial election between Republican Tom Foley and Democrat Dan Malloy.
