There’s no bad feelings between Corey Simms and Leah Messer since news of the Teen Mom 2 star’s surprise engagement and pregnancy. At least, not according to Simms’ new girlfriend Summer Tavarez. by her account, both couples “get along great,” and Corey is “very supportive” of Messer’s relationship with Jeremy Calvert.
“He likes Jeremy a lot. Jeremy is a good guy,” Tavarez tells HollywoodLife.com, explaining that Leah Messer and beau Jeremy Calvert’s Christmas engagement and baby news is great for all parties involved.
“Leah being happy is very important to him,” Summer explains. “It’s important that Leah thinks Corey’s happy [too]. As long as they’re happy, the girls are going to be happy and that’s what is important to them.”
Leah Messer and Corey Simms are the parents of two-year-old twin daughters Aleeah and Aliannah. with their divorce finalized in June of 2011, Tavarez says that the MTV reality stars are doing a good job of co-parenting the tots. “Corey gets the girls when he is supposed to and then Leah has them.”
As for her own relationship with Messer, Tavarez reveals that all is well there, too.
“[Leah] was polite,” Summer recalls of her first meeting with the MTV reality star. “she said, ‘hi.’ Jeremy and Corey talked a lot because they’re cool with each other. It wasn’t awkward or anything.”
