On Monday, Officer Michael Boyd, 31, was arrested for sending nude pictures of himself to someone he believed to be a 16-year-old girl. The girl turned out to be a detective.
An investigation of the officer began a week ago with a tip from a concerned citizen.
The detective texted Boyd pretending to be a 16-year-old girl named Brittany. According to court documents, Boyd then sent the girl nude pictures of himself, in hopes that she would do the same.
Boyd is free on $7,500 bond and has been suspended without pay from the police department. Â
