Va. Beach DUI driver had child on his lap when he crashed

This past weekend, Virginia Beach police arrested Alvin F. Taylor, after he crashed his SUV into a town home on Battleford Drive.

According to police, Taylor was driving the vehicle in reverse, with one child sitting on his lap, and two more in the backseat.

The homeowner, Juanita Milton, told WVEC News: “It sounded like a train wreck when it hit. I was like what in the world.”

Taylor backed right through the woman’s front door.

Alvin Taylor is currently being held in the Virginia Beach jail on DUI and child endangerment charges.
