On Wednesday, a Virginia Beach jury found Steven Frick, 43, guilty of forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, as well as other charges against a child.
Frick received a 17-year prison sentence and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Frick was arrested in September, after his victim reported the abuse to another adult. The sexual assaults took place at both his and the girl’s homes. Apparently, Frick was an acquaintance of the girl’s family.
The girl was under the age of 13.
Frick, who has been a Virginia Beach paramedic since 1996, has been suspended without pay, since his arrest.
