(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European cloud hosting provider VPS.net announced on Wednesday it has released in beta an intuitive desktop-like interface for its services hosted within the VPS.net cloud.

The move comes a couple weeks after VPS.net joined CloudLinux’s Preferred Partner Program.

The new control panel provides customers with a Windows-like desktop interface, enabling them to manage multiple VPS simultaneously from within their own browser.

This beta version is now available to all VPS.net customers, including resellers, which will be able to give their own customers the chance to test the new environment and provide feedback to VPS.net about any bugs they find or suggestions they might have to help the control panel.

“The new VPS.net user desktop will revolutionize the way cloud servers are managed,” said Rus Foster, managing director of VPS.net. “The easy-to-use interface will give our customers complete control of their cloud hosting platform allowing them to comprehensively manage every aspect of their VPS.”

On a secure connection users can access the VPS.net desktop through a standard web browser, where they will be able to perform routine maintenance, create new cloud instances and manage the account all with a single login.

Owned and operated by the UK2Group, VPS.net provides hosting to over 100,000 customers. VPS.net now has over 1,000 servers and 100 SAN units across six data centers throughout the United States and Europe.
