Celebrity psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow attacked

Dr. Keith Ablow did not get far into his evaluation interview with accused murderer Keith Luke, on Thursday, before he was physically assaulted by the avowed white supremacist.

As soon as he walked into the room, Luke jumped onto a desk and kicked Ablow in the side of the head. Guards quickly intervened and Ablow was not seriously hurt.

Ablow told WFXT: "He was only one or two seconds into the room before he rushed me. He was able to kick me in the side of the head and tried to get on top of me. When I saw him coming at me, and looked at his eyes, he was just intent on doing what he was going to do."

Ablow was hired by Luke’s attorney in an effort to mount a not-guilty by reason of insanity defense.

When told of the attack involving his client, Joseph Krowski Jr. said: “That doesn’t surprise me. This impulsive acting out is part and parcel of my argument,”

In January 2009, Keith Luke, 23 allegedly went on a crime spree in Brockton, MA, killing two people and raping another. All of his victims were of Cape Verdean descent, and targeted because of their ethnicity.

Before his last court appearance, Luke carved a swastika into his forehead. He spent much of the proceeding laughing at and taunting the family members of his alleged victims.

In September 2009, Luke was rushed to Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, after an apparent overdose.
