Around 1:30 this afternoon, a Virginia State Trooper was hit by a tractor trailer on the shoulder of I-664 Southbound at the Portsmouth Boulevard exit.
According to the Virginia State Police, the trooper assigned to motorcycle patrol was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, and is expected to recover.
